Description

This artwork presents a layered, expressive composition where abstract forms and a figurative presence coexist within a textured, muted background. The surface is built through visible layers of paint, marks, and gestures, creating a sense of movement and emotional density. Bold colors reds, blues, greens, and yellows emerge against the grey ground, guiding the eye through vertical and circular rhythms that suggest memory, symbols, and inner landscapes rather than a literal scene.

The human figure appears simplified and introspective, seated within the composition as if held by the surrounding forms. This contrast between abstraction and figuration creates a quiet tension: the figure feels both present and vulnerable, while the abstract elements act as emotional, symbolic, or environmental forces around it. The work reads as intuitive and psychological, inviting interpretation rather than offering a fixed narrative. Overall, the artwork explores themes of identity, emotion, and inner experience through color, texture, and spontaneous mark-making, allowing the viewer to connect on a personal and contemplative level.
